On a sunny October morning, several students from Craven College came up to Holme Grown Eastby, to survey biodiversity on the site. Some of the things they looked at included:

  • Heading off to grassland and woodland survey to look at ways of increasing biodiversity at Holme Grown Eastby Community Initiative.
  • Bird Surveys from a handy bench
  • Young woodland success rate survey
  • Pond dipping and explaining to results to the public
  • Young tree identification from bark and leaves
  • Pond dipping from the new recycled dipping platform

We are looking forward to hearing about some of their findings and the levels of change over time.
